Overview

Ali graduated from the University of Manchester with an LLB (Hons) in 2013 and received a Masters in Corporate & Commercial Law from Queen Mary, University of London in 2014. Ali is enrolled as an Advocate in the courts of Sindh and as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales and is a member of the Karachi Bar Association and Sindh Bar Council as well as the Law Society of England and Wales.

Ali has experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. His practice areas include corporate, commercial, banking and finance, insurance, competition, construction and payment services law.

In addition to routine corporate and commercial work, Ali has significant experience in advising on energy and construction projects. Ali has been closely involved in all LNG related work undertaken by the firm, including SSGC LNG Project 1 and the PGP LNG Project and the procurement of excess regasification capacity by SSGC from the existing EETPL terminal at Port Qasim and has also been involved in work undertaken by the firm relating to gas transportation agreements and tripartite agreements between SSGC, PSO and SNGPL and recently advised a chemical company in relation to the expansion of their existing plant as well as a steel mill in relation to financing for an expansion project.
