We have advised several start-up businesses in various fields, in all respects of doing business in Pakistan. Our advice ranges from setting up the business, to funding requirements, employment matters, IT issues, IP matters, franchise agreements and many other aspects.
The start-up businesses that we have advised are both home grown, as well as well-known international names at varying stages of the entrepreneurial journey. Some of the international names are Uber and Careem, whilst locally we have advised Tapmad, Wemsol, Xoop, Dawaai PK and countless others.
- LMA has been engaged to advise XOOP Network on the structure of setting up of a XOOP Holdco in Singapore with a possibility of incorporating/ setting up multiple XOOP Opcos, which may include regularization of the existing XOOP Opco or the setting up of a new XOOP Opco in Pakistan. LMA has recently drafted a share subscription and shareholders agreement for the client. LMA has also been advising the client on foreign exchange regulations which apply to the structure of the transaction.
- Assisting and drafting, for our client Lakson Venture Capital Fund, the relevant share transfer agreements, pledge agreements, subscription and shareholders agreement in respect of the anticipated funding stages to be gone through by Zing Technologies (Private) Limited for the launch of their national level payment solution system.
- Advising the Dow University of Health Sciences in restructuring its various ongoing projects and setting u new companies. Reviewing and amending its constitutive documents and project documents and advising thereon. Drafting amendments to the Dow University of Health Sciences Act, 2004 in order to allow the institute to form subsidiaries.
