LMA has worked on several infrastructure projects across Pakistan, including those relating to road networks, as well as oil and gas infrastructure.
The firm has advised the Frontier Works Organisation on the award of a concession in respect of rehabilitation of the M-2 motorway (“Project”). For the purposes of carrying out the Project, FWO set up a special purpose vehicle, namely MORE, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of FWO. The assignment included advisory on the concession and divestment of minority stake in MORE to a strategic investor in the Project.
LMA has also advised various banks and financial institutions on matters relating to project finance for projects of the National Highway Authority, and the manner in which the finance would be secured through concessions granted to the various projects.
Notably, the firm has advised several government entities on the implementation of oil and gas infrastructure projects in Pakistan, including Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Pakistan LNG Terminals Limited. The projects advised on including pipeline infrastructures as well as construction and commissioning of LNG terminals.
The firm is also advising on Russian interests in Pakistan relating to the construction and commissioning of LPG Air mix plants across Pakistan and a potential gas pipeline project connecting the north and south of Pakistan.
The firm has also advised a Russian company in drafting and negotiating a commercial proposal for the construction of a pipeline for an amount of USD 4 Billion.
