Darakhshan Sheikh Vohra is a graduate of the University of Bristol, UK, having completed her LLB (Hons.) from Bristol and her BA from the University of Karachi.
Darakhshan Sheikh Vohra is a leading corporate lawyer in Pakistan, having almost twenty years of experience in advising and representing both local and international clients in a vast array of practice areas. She led the team advising the Privatization Commission, Government of Pakistan on the divestment of the remaining stake of GOP’s shareholding in Habib Bank Limited. This prestigious advisory included review of documents relating to the international placements in so far as the same were impacted by Pakistan law, as well as the local public offering of shares and also included complex regulatory advice relating to the SBP, SECP, CDC, GOP (MOF) and the Stock Exchanges of Pakistan. In the area of capital markets, this transaction was not only the largest equity placement in the history of Pakistan, but also the largest equity offering in the history of the Asian Frontier Markets.
